Introduction

The purpose of the Introduction is to introduce the activity and to communicate the lesson or focus of the WebQuest to the students. It is written with the student as the intended audience – or in the second person and communicates the WebQuest’s guiding question. Also the introduction needs to grab the student's attention. You may choose to write a motivational scenario to "hook" the learner by putting them in an adventurous context. Your introduction should:
- provide a statement of the topic’s background and information concerning the problem to be solved.
- define the student’s job
- states the resources to be used
- summarize the assignments to be accomplished
