Ways to Pay For The Courses

For information on the current tuition rates for our program you can visit http://edutech.msu.edu/tuition.html.

1. Use Federal Title II Part A and D Funds

Federal Title II Part A and D funds may be available in your district to cover professional development in the area of technology. Title II, Part A provides funding to address professional development needs. Title II Part D provides federal funding to schools for educational technology through a program called Enhancing Education Through Technology (E2T2). At least 25% of the funds for E2T2 needs to be spent on high quality professional development.Check with your administration to see if you may be eligible to use these funds.

2. Request funding from your district

Many districts have a tutition reimbursement program for their teachers. Check out your most recent contract to see if your district may reimburse you for a certain number of graduate credits per year. Through these programs you will generally need to pay for the course up front and receive an acceptable grade (determined by your district) to be reimbursed for the funds.

3. Financial Aid

In order to receive financial aid you need to carry at least 6 graduate credits in the semester for which you would use the aid. Often times our courses are set up so that you can take two within a semester and therefore meet the 6 credit requirement. To learn more about financial aid visit http://www.finaid.msu.edu.

4. Scholarships

There may be opportunities to receive a scholarship for these courses. Visit the scholarships page on the Office of Admissions website at http://www.admissions.msu.edu/finances/scholarships.asp to see a complete list of scholarships that may be available.

5. Bring the Program to Your District

Bring the program to your district, sign up a minimum of 15 teachers to take the course and you can be eligible to receive a stipend that will help cover the costs of one of your courses. For details contact us at edutech@msu.edu.
